So I’ve finished my new web site project.  It’s called Popcorn Confessions and basically it’s a brand new movie reviews site that uses social networking ideas and technology to try and connect people with similar taste in movies.  No more listening to newspaper critic, get your movie recommendations from friends.

This is quite a much larger project than anything I’ve ever done before, and I’m really hoping it’ll take off and be a hit.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for me, please let me know.

Well, I realize I’ve been silent for a while lately.  Notably so here and on nomadicnation.com. I’ve been working on a major new project and trying to get it finished. It’s pretty much ready to go and roll out to everyone. I just need to put a few finishing touches in place.

In the meantime, you can still read all the interesting information articles at nomadicnation.com, and I’m still adding links to the nomadbytes section. Once my project is complete I’ll let the cat out of the bag. Not that I’ve got a lot of people reading this site anyway, but every little bit helps right?

So the latest article I wrote over on Nomadic Nation has been up for about a week, and I haven’t done anything here for a while.  The latest article is about Harry Houdini, and rumors of Murder.  Sound interesting?  Then take a look and read about the Mysterious Death of Harry Houdini.

I know I had a dry spell on nomadicnation.com, with no new articles for a couple weeks.  There were a couple bugs in the design code I wanted to get taken care of.  It’s now working a little cleaner, and should show up correctly in most browsers (though there’s still some annoying quirks in IE 6.  Curse you M$!)  So I finally posted my newest article, on Famous Relics of Ancient Civilizations.  I know it’s nothing earth-shattering in there.  One step at a time.  But there are some interesting facts.  Such as the fact that the Mayans used very little cement or adhesive in their buildings, and most of their constructions that are still up today are because of how precisely they cut and placed the stones–without metal tools or pulleys!  Stay tuned though, there’s lots of more interesting stuff coming up on Nomadic Nation in the next week or so.

Well, I just finished an article on Einstein’s brain over at Nomadic Nation.  Looks like Einstein’s brain covered almost more mileage after his death than before.  The article is all about the strange story of Dr. Thomas Harvey who, during the course of Einstein’s autopsy, took out Einstein’s brain, and kept it.  He claimed to have done it for research, though he never published any findings.  At one point, he took a road trip with a writer, Michael Paterniti, across country from New Jersey to California to visit Einstein’s granddaughter, with Einstein’s brain in the trunk of the car the whole trip.  So read the Strange Case of Einstein’s brain, if you dare.

My sweetie Isa is entering the blog world.  She set up her first blog last night so she can share her pictures and life tidbits on the web.  Isa’s Fabulous Blog is open for business, though there’s not much there yet.  She’ll be posting a lot of the family pictures and such on there.

Well here it is, the first post I have on my new personal wordpress.com blog.  I had a personal blog on blogger before, but I wasn’t too happy with the features.  Since I’ve been working with wordpress lately on my website, nomadicnation.com, I’ve come to really like the features and capabilities.  This is so much more powerful and flexible than blogger.  Perhaps I’ll be more happy with this one now, and actually update my personal blog more often.  We’ll see.  Stay tuned for the more official first entry after I’ve done some tooling and tweaking over here.
